Editor's note: This film is lovely in many ways, but let’s focus on one particular song from the fantastic soundtrack. Not only does “Colors of the Wind” teach that different races can coexist, it’s also an articulate takedown of colonization and capitalism, pointing to the Earth’s natural resources as our most precious possession: “Come roll in all the riches all around you/And for once, never wonder what they’re worth.” Ponder that, and enjoy some gorgeous Pocahontas wallpapers!
